Through established procedures, performance monitoring and continuous improvement, we work to strengthen the quality, reliability and usefulness of the information we provide.

Quality Commitment

multiVIEW maintains a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) that guides how project information is collected, managed, reviewed and delivered.

The QMS establishes documented processes for project execution, data management, technical review, document control and continuous improvement. These processes help ensure that work is performed consistently, that project requirements are understood, and that deliverables reflect the defined scope and information developed through the investigation.

Applicable professional requirements, industry standards, regulations, customer specifications and internal procedures are incorporated into project planning and execution as appropriate to the work being completed.

Quality is a shared responsibility across multiVIEW. Field personnel, technical teams, project managers, Engineers, Geoscientists and administrative staff each contribute to the processes that support reliable project delivery.

Arcadis Canada has worked with multiVIEW for several years on many large-scale projects. We recently retained multiVIEW to complete a GPR and EM geophysical survey as well as locate private utilities within our project area. The work was completed on a timely basis and we found multiVIEW staff to be professional and courteous. Once data was collected, we were supplied with a very detailed geophysical interpretation report that made it possible to intuitively visualize the results of the analysis.

Quality control begins before fieldwork starts and continues through final delivery.

Depending on the project, this may include review of project requirements, investigation planning, personnel and equipment selection, field documentation, data management, technical interpretation, drawing and report review, and verification of the final deliverable.

Data Quality and Technical Review

Subsurface information is developed from evidence collected within a defined investigation scope.

Our quality processes are designed to evaluate whether information has been collected and documented in accordance with the planned investigation and whether the resulting deliverable appropriately represents the information available.

Quality review may consider factors such as:

  • Conformance with the defined investigation limits and project scope
  • Field documentation and data integrity
  • Appropriate application of investigative methods
  • Correlation between available records, field observations and collected data
  • Identification of conflicting, incomplete or unresolved information
  • Drawing, mapping and report consistency
  • Appropriate documentation of investigation limitations
  • Technical and professional review requirements
  • Delivery requirements and project timelines

Where information cannot be fully resolved within the investigation performed, those conditions can be identified and communicated so that the project team can determine whether additional investigation is appropriate.

Professional Oversight

multiVIEW’s Engineering and Geoscience professionals provide oversight appropriate to the technical requirements of the work being completed.

Project assignments are matched with personnel based on experience, training, qualifications and the investigative methods involved.

Professional oversight may include review of investigation methodology, interpretation of technical information, evaluation of conflicting evidence and review of project deliverables.

This combination of established processes and professional judgment is an important part of converting field observations and collected data into information that can be meaningfully used by the project team.

Continuous Improvement

Our Quality Management System is reviewed regularly to ensure that procedures remain relevant to our operations, professional obligations, technologies and project requirements.

Quality information, inspection results, customer feedback and operational performance are evaluated to identify recurring issues, emerging trends and opportunities for improvement.

When problems occur, our approach emphasizes understanding the underlying cause, implementing appropriate corrective action and applying what is learned to future work.

Continuous improvement may result in changes to procedures, training, documentation, equipment practices, project planning or other elements of our operations.

The objective is not simply to identify errors after they occur, but to continually strengthen the processes used to develop and deliver project information.

Customer Feedback

Customer feedback provides an important measure of how our project delivery processes are performing.

multiVIEW actively reviews customer feedback alongside operational and quality information to identify opportunities to improve communication, project execution and deliverables.

Health, Safety and Contractor Management

Quality management works alongside multiVIEW’s established Health, Safety and Environmental programs.

Personnel receive training appropriate to their roles and project activities, and required qualifications are considered when project teams are assigned.
