Engineering

We’ve been partnering with Engineering firms throughout Ontario for decades, providing insights and data that help to avoid utility conflicts, project delays, risk and liability. Whether you require a full Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) program, need to inspect the inside of a sewer pipe, find embedded features before cutting concrete, or investigate environmental concerns, multiVIEW Locates has you covered.

Making informed decisions at the design stage of a project and improve efficiencies requires access to accurate information on buried utilities and underground conditions. multiVIEW Locates has been partnering with engineering firms throughout Ontario for decades, providing reliable utility insights and data that:

  • Advance the design and planning stage of infrastructure changes
  • Streamline construction process
  • Improve project safety
  • Enhance cost savings through the maintenance of the design and construction schedule

Whether you require a full Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) program, need to inspect the inside of a sewer pipe, find embedded features before cutting concrete or investigate an environmental concern, multiVIEW Locates has you covered. We offer a full suite of utility locating and condition assessment services to empower your next project.

We recently retained multiVIEW to conduct a geophysical survey in order to map the spatial location of potential underground storage tanks. The raw data was thoroughly interpreted and represented in plan maps that made the findings easy to visualize. We were also provided with recommendations that proved very useful to our project.

A full suite of utility locating services for the Engineering industry, backed by decades of experience

More and more infrastructure projects are requiring a comprehensive utility investigation at the outset to manage risk and inform project design. multiVIEW Locates has been delivering Utility Locating services since the early 80s and is an expert in a wide range of techniques and technologies including Electromagnetic (EM) Induction and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).

We can capture all utilities within a project site, including non-conductive buried assets and underground storage tanks (USTs). We will also coordinate the entire investigation program that includes:

  • collecting existing utility records
  • surveying above-ground utility appurtenances
  • capturing the horizontal position of utilities
  • obtaining depth data

Infrastructure inspection services tailored to your project

When you require data on the condition of infrastructure within your project area, we’ll apply our advanced GPR techniques to assess concrete deterioration and asphalt thickness, identify post tension cables, locate voids and cracks in the concrete, and more. If it’s pipe condition you’re concerned about, we’ll conduct a pipe inspection using our advanced CCTV Sewer Inspection technology. No challenge is too complex – we also offer a number of geophysical services to help you overcome geotechnical and environmental challenges.

Our services provide insights and data to support decision-making at the design stage, helping to avoid utility conflicts, project delays, and risk.

Informative Image displaying a Subsurface Utility Engineering CAD map. Utilizing a topographic map of main road intersection, multiVIEW CAD experts have developed and overlaid a digital CAD drawing that identifies and geo-references the various utilities that run under the paved roadway and right of way. The green lines represent sewer lines and storm drains. Red lines represent electrical conduit. The yellow lines represents the gas lines. The orange represent communication infrastructure. The purple and the black lines represented are defined by users planned assets for the project site.
