Since 2012, it’s been mandatory for excavators to contact Ontario One Call before digging, and the stakes are high: individual corporations can be fined up to $500,000 for non-compliance. multiVIEW Locates is your trusted partner in Construction Damage Prevention. Our talented, highly trained pool of Field Managers, Supervisors, and Technicians are trained on a variety of utility locating tools and techniques to accurately identify buried infrastructure in your project area.
Our utility locating services can help avoid damages from improper drilling or excavating because they identify the exact location and depth of buried utility infrastructure. They also help to identify tolerance zones around these services where excavators must hand-dig or exercise other special care. The advantages of these services include:
- Enhanced safety of construction workers and communities
- Circumventing costs associated with project delays, damages and repairs, and liability of service disruption
We’ve used multiVIEW’s utility locating services for various projects and find their staff to be customer oriented and skilled at problem solving. They are always willing to help to ensure that the project is a success. I would highly recommend multiVIEW to any organization requiring utility locates.

- water, sanitary, and storm sewer pipes (mains and services)
- switches and pressure plates
- other complex infrastructure
We also offer full ticket clearing services and have years of experience working with Ontario One Call, managing ticket requests, conducting office clears, and implementing a 360-degree feedback process. We’re actively involved in the Ontario Regional Common Ground Alliance (ORCGA) and our field staff is dedicated to Dig Safe principles.
No locating challenge is too complex
Using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), we can locate the “un-locatable” such as clay pipes or utilities containing broken tracer wires. High spatial accuracy and reliability are guaranteed at every stage of the project execution. Where depth data is required, multiVIEW Locates offers a suite of vacuum excavation services including test pitting, potholing, and daylighting. We’ll provide full project coordination including traffic and project management, securing permits, and locate services. Professional coring systems guarantee clean cutting, and we will fully restore the site based on project requirements.
Safe, efficient concrete scanning, results delivered in real-time
multiVIEW Locates helped pioneer early applications of concrete scanning in the 1980s, using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). Today, our GPR applications are vast and include concrete scanning for bridges, roads, buildings, and other structures. We can identify rebar spacing, rebar depth, and concrete thickness prior to demolition.
GPR can also be used for void detection, bridge deterioration analysis, post tension cable imaging, and concrete and asphalt thickness. Unlike X-Ray, no harmful radiation is emitted and a clearance area is not required. Results are delivered in real-time and can be presented in plan-view, profile-view, and 3D imaging.
Results of a concrete scan using GPR can be provided in plan-view, profile-view, and 3D imaging. In this picture, the rebar detected in a concrete slab is overlaid on a blueprint.
