Every day in Ontario, hundreds if not thousands of ground disturbances expose abandoned underground infrastructure. These occurrences affect everyone, but the ground disturber (the “excavator”) is left with the biggest burden.

ORCGA’s Ear to the Ground magazine’s Spring/Summer 2021 issue, features multiVIEW’s article about “The Thorny Issue of Abandoned Infrastructure”.  The article discusses the shear complexity of the problem, the players involved, and how no group seems willing to take on ownership despite there being best practices and standards outlining the safest thing to do.
