How does multiVIEW present their findings?
Depending on customer requirements, the data can be presented as a real-time interpretation marked directly on the ground surface, or where formal documentation is required, as interpreted digital drawings bound within a professional report.
What geographic area does multiVIEW service?
Although we have completed work in Asia, Europe, Central and South America, our resources are focused in Toronto and Ottawa areas with service delivery throughout Ontario. We also service the northeastern U.S.A. market.
What is multiVIEW’s level of locate accuracy?
We follow the industry standard of ±1 metre but in specific cases we can be much more accurate
How do customers pay for services?
- For your convenience, we take VISA or MasterCard
- Repeat customers with a good credit history can establish an account
What types of underground services are typically ‘private’?
- Water and wastewater inside private property boundaries.
- Electricity beyond the site transformer or meter, including power to outbuildings, signage, parking lot lighting, gate arms, fuel dispensers, machinery, etc.
- Gas beyond the meter to outbuildings, generators, machinery.
- Telecom (telephone and CATV) beyond the first utility room including communications for gate arms, card lock facilities, between site buildings, etc...
- Fuel piping including the fill and vent lines from UST’s and product lines to pump islands and fuel dispensers.
- Irrigation lines, slurry lines.
Why should I be concerned about ‘private’ services?
- The OHSA indicates that it is the responsibility of the ‘owner’ of these services to mark them. Does the landowner even know the extent of the underground infrastructure network within their property?
- Enhanced worker safety – electrocution, gas explosions.
- Disruption of site activities – internet access (VISA and debit card transactions); power and telecom to buildings, machinery; security cabling; fire alarm cabling;
- Project efficiency – scheduling, resolving utility conflicts, construction delays and claims, minimized disturbance, minimized loss of service.
- Due diligence and better risk management.
- Preserve integrity of existing infrastructure.
What do I need to provide to multiVIEW?
- Provide a base map of the site showing your work area.
- Provide all existing drawings showing underground utilities within the work area.
- Provide and coordinate access to all buildings within the property.
- Provide an on-site representative who is familiar with the existing infrastructure within the work area to direct multiVIEW to specific facilities to permit expedited tracing of these facilities.
- Arrange for any necessary Health & Safety training to permit site/building access.
- Arrange for any necessary parking and work permits and/or road occupancy permits.
